Vintage Onyx Lidded Jar with Pedestal Base

A beautifully carved vintage onyx lidded jar, crafted from richly veined natural stone in warm cream, honey and soft green tones. Its rounded form, pedestal base and domed lid give it a gentle, sculptural presence, making it a lovely piece for a dressing table, bathroom shelf or curated vignette. Likely dating to the 1970s–1980s when decorative onyx pieces were especially popular, it has the satisfying weight and cool, polished feel characteristic of genuine stone craftsmanship.

The finial has been broken and repaired at some point in its life, as shown in the photos, but remains secure and does not affect its display. Please also note some small 'flea bite' chips around the inside of the rim which again, does not affect the look as these are internal. A substantial piece at approximately 15cm in diameter and 16cm tall with the lid in place, offering both beauty and practicality for storing small treasures.
