Vintage 1950s Reverse Painted Acrylic Serving Tray Signed Dope

This vintage 1950s serving tray features an evocative lakeside landscape panel reverse-painted by the artist Dope. The picturesque composition depicts a cottage with a prominent orange-toned roof nestled among stylized trees, a small wooden dock, and a rowboat resting in the foreground against a pastel sunset sky. The artwork is painted directly onto the underside of a smooth, lightweight mid-century acrylic panel, protecting the pigments while creating a durable surface. Housed in a rich wood frame with an integrated stepped border, the tray is fitted with two curved, polished metal handles at either end and features the distinct hand-painted artist signature in the lower-left corner.

The tray is in very good vintage condition, offering a structurally sound frame with original construction screws intact. The front acrylic surface shows light, age-appropriate surface wear and faint cleaning scuffs from historical use but retains excellent clarity across the lake scene.
