Botanical Brass Vintage Hand-Carved Wooden Trinket Box Ornate Floral Brass Inlay Jewellery Box

I found this lovely vintage 1970s hand-carved wooden trinket box and loved the detailed brass inlay work on it. It is handcrafted from solid Sheesham wood, which is a durable Indian rosewood known for its warm tones and beautiful natural grain. This style of art box originated from traditional artisan workshops in Saharanpur, India, and became popular export pieces during the mid-to-late 20th century. The lid features a lot of delicate brass wire and leaf shapes that form a clean floral border around a central flower design. This brass detailing carries on around all four sides of the box so it looks great from any angle. It measures 18cm wide by 13cm deep, which makes it a really practical size for jewellery, keys, or general keepsakes on a dresser or shelf. The box is in excellent vintage condition with a nice rich wood grain and clean, polished brass details, all of which you can see clearly in the photos.
